My greatest moment was at a show in Frankfurt in 1997 for a joint Africa-Germany NGO symposium. I ended my performance with Asimbonanga. As we began the final chorus the crowd roared and I was puzzled because it was a strange moment for them to acknowledge the song. Then out of the corner of my eye I saw a figure behind me. It was Nelson Mandela! He had walked on and was doing his special Madiba move to the music. He stood there beaming and at the end of the song he said, "Music makes me at peace with the world .... and at peace with myself .... but I don't see anyone moving out there" and told me to start the song again. We sang another chorus and left the stage together. It was a pinnacle in my career.
